QFX East to be rescheduled to April 2-4, 2021

We have made the decision to reschedule QFX East to April 2-4, 2021. We want to provide our attendees with some insight into the parameters we are looking at while making this decision.
Dear QFX Family,
We appreciate the patience and understanding that you have afforded us over the last few weeks to give our team the ability to assess all facets of the COVID-19 situation. As you can imagine, the number of things that must be taken into account is substantial and having as much information as possible is imperative in order to make sure the right calls are made with consideration and care.
Having said that, we have made the decision to reschedule QFX East to April 2-4, 2021. We want to provide our attendees with some insight into the parameters we are looking at while making this decision. These include:
Ability of all in attendance being able to move freely via travel. This includes attendees, vendors, guests, speakers, volunteers, etc. Travel bans could be lifted for the United States in the coming months, but that is not a certainty in other countries in the foreseeable future
Keeping our guest lineup as close to our original one as possible. With hundreds of conventions around the world having to postpone/reschedule their dates, we will inevitably have to compete with them not only for dates, but for the talent on their roster
Our venue’s availability. The Hilton is currently rescheduling existing events to new dates, most of which are moving to the late summer and/or early fall
Cost of travel and accomodation for attendees. There were a very select number of dates available to us and we took into consideration room rates and airline costs in an attempt to maintain the financial accessibility our original dates afforded
The safety of everyone in attendance. This is probably the most important parameter that we considered. We think it goes without saying that COVID-19 is affecting the entire world, of all ages. It is our position that continuing with dates in 2020 would be irresponsible and would do the opposite of ensuring the safety and well-being of those in attendance
Certainly, we hope that everyone can make the new dates in 2021 as we have been working so hard on curating a memorable event for everyone that we hope is the start of something meaningful and special for years to come. However, it is not realistic to expect everyone to be able to do this, so here are the options we have put together for everyone that apply to the new April dates. If you are:
Able to attend: You do not need to do a thing! Your badge will be automatically transferred to the new dates. Transfer incentive: Anyone who transfers their badges to our new dates will receive a free quarantine swag bag and a one-time use 50% discount code for any regular admission badge at any future QFX event.
Unable to attend WITH refund: You will be able to request a FULL refund for your badge and for any other items purchased on our QFX Ticketbud website.
A form will be sent to all vendors and badge holders within the next ten business days. If you would like to request a refund, you will be able to do that through this form and it must be completed no later than 6/15/2020. We ask that you please allow 30 days for refunds to be processed as these will be done manually with the assistance of our ticketing platform and they are very, very backlogged on things at the moment.

Auction Winners: Tea Time auction winners will be emailed this weekend with details pertaining to our rescheduled dates and the options they have if they cannot be in attendance at QFX in April
Meet and Greets: We are diligently working with agents to ensure that our current guest list remains similar and will notify our attendees throughout the next few months of any guest changes that may affect the current M&G tickets you hold
Hotel Reservations: Your existing reservations will NOT automatically be canceled by the Hilton. You will need to contact them directly at 813-204-3000 to do this. You may also cancel your current reservation via email using your original confirmation code received at time of booking

Unable to attend WITHOUT refund: If you are unable to attend but would like to use your badge for ANY future QFX event OR if you would like to donate your badge to our Pay-It-Forward initiative, you will have the option to do so on the form described above.
Since the nature of events such as ours are considered to be affirming, safe and needed for so many, we will be providing a virtual event in the month of June to coincide with Pride month called QFX: CloudCon! Most programming will be open to everyone, free of charge. Additional details will be made available in the coming weeks on our website and across all social media channels.
Additionally, we will be expanding our absentee autograph program to be open for most of the year for a number of our guests. We have been in contact with agents and their clients to be able to offer this and we will be putting up a full list of all talent participation over the next few weeks.
Lastly, our entire team would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for your patience and understanding while we worked on our new dates. This situation is unprecedented and its effects have been widespread, affecting both businesses and individuals. In the spirit of community, it is our belief that we will come out of this stronger than ever and we are proud to do that with you.
